The Dark Island, by Jean-Yves Brignon
THE ISLAND
DARK
A country somewhere. In the midst of others. A woman is beaten, tortured. She must confess, submit. For others who don't want to understand it. She resists and their violence increases. She is silent and their imaginations become more monstrous. But there is somewhere, outside, as at the bottom of her, a hope. Hope. The street is agitated, the air blows another odor. Tyrants are weakening.
In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.
An impossible experiment around violence and torture against women, we tried to present the subject as a punch that we receive. Without softening the theme, the representation and the writing are uncompromising and naturally lead us to reflect on the human condition.
